The Hawaii BMX ohana (family) was established in June 1997 to foster the sport of bicycle motocross (BMX) here in Hawaii. Sanctioned by the National Bicycle League (NBL), Hawaiian Isle BMX promotes athletic recreation to the youth of Hawaii through its events. Hawaiian Isle BMX is made up of several volunteers, from single parents to couples with children. Every week, these volunteers come to the track to spend time with their children and other families to experience the same enjoyment. This sport has no age restrictions as our participants range in ages 4 to 30+ years old. Divisions are Rookie, Novice, Expert and Pro.

National competitions are held in the USA every month and kids, teens and parents compete in these events. Our goal is to route a National event here in Hawaii every year and hope to host a UCI World Championship in the near future.

Hawaiian Isle BMX currently has a membership of 47 participants and continues to grow. We are now planning to build two new tracks in Pearl City and Central Oahu (District Park). The BMX track planned for Central Oahu will be the longest BMX track in the State of Hawaii and will feature an 1100 foot long course with multiple jumps, turns, burms and rhythm sections.

Come on out and join the ranks of your fellow BMXers. Test your skills, strengths and endurance against our island BMX competition. Aloha from the Race Director!
